Managing Your Workspace
The workspace is your top-level organizational unit in Obi. All apps, integrations, projects, and team members belong to a workspace. The Settings page lets you configure your workspace, manage your team, and handle billing.
Workspace Settings
- Open Settings from the sidebar.
- The Workspace tab is selected by default.
- Update the workspace name or description.
- Upload a workspace icon to make it easier to identify in the workspace switcher.
Changes are saved when you submit the form.
Team Management
The Team tab shows everyone who has access to your workspace.
Viewing Members
The team list displays each member's name, email, and role. Roles control what actions a member can perform within the workspace.
Inviting New Members
- Go to the Team tab in Settings.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
- Select a role for the new member.
- Send the invitation.
The invited person receives a notification with a link to join your workspace. They need to accept the invitation before they gain access.
Managing Permissions
To change a team member's role or permissions:
- Find the member in the team list.
- Update their role or permission level.
- Save the change.
Removing Members
To remove someone from the workspace, cancel their invitation (if pending) or remove their access from the team list.
Integrations
The Integrations tab is where you connect and manage external services. See Managing Integrations for full details.
Billing
Obi uses Stripe for subscription management. From the workspace settings, you can:
- View your current plan and usage.
- Manage your subscription by opening the billing portal, which redirects you to Stripe where you can update payment methods, change plans, or view invoices.
- Start a subscription if you are on a free plan, by opening the checkout portal.
Billing is managed at the workspace level. Each workspace has its own subscription.
Switching Workspaces
If you belong to multiple workspaces, use the workspace selector in the sidebar header to switch between them. Your current workspace determines which apps, integrations, and executions you see.
Creating Additional Workspaces
You can create a new workspace at any time from the workspace selector. Each workspace is independent, with its own integrations, team, and billing.
